MEMJET cartridges and heads
Australian company Silverbrook Research has developed tehnnologijo called “Memjet”. Memjet printheads, which allow inkjet printing the entire line at once, thus providing extremely fast document printing, which is much faster than conventional printing inkjet printers. Memjet chipset includes 70,000 nozzles. Promised print speed memjet printers up to 60 pages per minute in black-and-white printing up to 30 in color.
Memjet and traditional inkjet printers
In conventional inkjet printers, software higher resolution significantly prolong the time of printing, but does not significantly affect the quality of the final print.
A disadvantage of inkjet printers print at speeds as a result of the movement of the print head to the left and right across the page takes a long time. Cartridges are usually expensive, having long periods of nonuse is dry.
Comparison of operation stationary memjet head and classic two-way head.
On a normal two-way press head has 6000 nozzles (resolution from 600 to 1200 dpi), while a stationary press head MEMJET, which runs across the width of the A4 70.000 (resolution 1,600 dpi). Since memjet head does not move, the greater the accuracy and speed of printing (over 4,500 prints per hour)
Printing with a classic two-way press head on which the nozzle 6000, and with a stationary press head MEMJET, at which more than 70,000 nozzles. In the first case,
moving the paper and press the head, in the second paper only.
